The Environmental Health Challenges of Urbanisation is the subject of a conference being held in Gozo, tomorrow, Thursday, the 14th of March, between 9am and 1pm, at Queen Mary University of London, Malta Campus in Victoria.

As the islands of Malta become increasingly urbanised, what are the environmental health challenges created by the changing landscape and how can intelligent urban planning mitigate the risks and enhance quality of life?

The public is invited to join and interact with keynote speakers from Queen Mary University of London, the University of Malta, Ministers and leading environmental and public health expert speakers to explore the pressing issues surrounding urban development and its implications on our health and well-being.

The organisers said that “through engaging talks, interactive sessions, and panel discussions, we aim to shed light on the various challenges faced by urban areas, including air pollution, noise pollution, and access to green spaces.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights, exchange ideas, and collaborate on potential solutions, from which we would like to arrive at actionable outcomes for society.
