A reminder that entries for the 2024 Gozo Live/Gozo College award writing competition closes next month. This competition is open to students who attend any school or college in Gozo.

There are two themes choose from – either a story, essay, poem or play in English on one of the two following themes: Friendship, or a Fairy Tale with a Twist.

“Entries should be as creative as possible. We are looking for very original ideas on the themes,” the organisers said.

They added that, all entries should be written by one student, apart from the plays which can be written by a group of up to 5 students.

The closing date is Saturday, the 30th of April, but entries can be submitted as soon as they are ready. Each entry should have the full name of the student, the name of the school attended and the age or year of the student.

The organisers said that “generous prizes” will be awarded.
