Qala Saints are the winners of the BOV GFA Cup for season 2023/2024. The Saints beat newly crowned BOV GFA Champions Nadur Youngsters 4-1 in the final to win the coveted cup.

This is the second major award for Qala Saints following their BOV GFA cup win during the 2007/2008 season.

Qala opened the score in the 32nd minute and doubled up in the 55th through Mercieca. Nadur pulled one back in the 61st minute through Matthias Said, but Qala made it 3-1 in the 77th minute through Igor Nedeljkovi? and scored again through Chris Mercieca in the 91st to seal the win.Following the game, Charmaine Borg, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Gozo Branch and Samuel Azzopardi, President of the Gozo Football Association, presented the BOV GFA Cup to Qala in front of a sizable crowd that attended the game at the Gozo Stadium.

Bank of Valletta is a long-term supporter of the GFA and said that it is a strong advocate of sporting initiatives in Malta and Gozo for the benefit of the physical and mental health of the community.
