Twelth edition of Skolasport Gozo starts in November

Starting on the 7th of November the students of primary and secondary schools in Gozo, are again given the opportunity participtate every Saturday in the programme of sporting activities to be organised be Skolasport inside the Sports Complex in Victoria. The activities have been organised Skolasport Gozo over the past twelve years, at the initiative of the Ministry for Gozo.
Among the sporting disciplines for students from the fourth class of primary to those of the fifth class in the secondary, are hip-hop and breakdance, table/lawn tennis, gymnastics, climbing, cycling, martial arts, handball and basketball, hockey and football skills. This year, Skolasport disciplines Gozo will be offering new sports, including aerobics, squash and volleyball. It will also organise an activity called Adventure, where every Saturday a group of children will be able to experience an activity outside the Sports Complex.
AKidz Blitz programme for children attending the first three years of primary school will also be organised. Transport is arranged by each village, but children who attend the first year of primary school must be taken by their parents.
This year a new idea has been introduced where parents can participate in fitness sessions during the time that their children are attending the centre.
