A 32-year old French woman has been seriously injured after losing control of the quad bike she was riding in Gozo.

Police said that the accident happened at around 2.30pm on Tuesday afternoon in Saghtrija Road, Zebbug.

The woman had lost control of her quad bike and crashed. A medical team provided first assistance at the scene, from where she was taken to the Gozo General Hospital where she was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.

A Magisterial Inquiry was appointed into the case.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
