The Nationalist Party said that it is presenting 56 candidates for the Local Council elections in Gozo, of these 15 are under the age of 30.
‘This is a clear sign of that the Nationalist Party is a lively party that attracts quality young people who want wealth for their locality. In Gozo, the Nationalist Party candidates are working as one team in each locality.”I
This was the message that came out of a news conference addressed in Zebbug, Gozo, by the Shadow Minister Alex Borg and the President of the College of Local Councillors of the Nationalist Party Charles Bonello.
They said that ”in Zebbug, the Nationalist Party sees that local products are promoted to maintain the local identity and are promoted at a higher level. In addition, together with the local associations, they see that activities are organised that give an identity to the locality.”
The Nationalist Party said that in Zebbug it ”identified a site owned by the Government to become a creative park for families, while the devolution process of the Qbajjar Battery continues with the intention of restoring it so that it does not remain in a state of abandonment, but will be enjoyed by the public and the historical heritage safeguarded.”
They also said that the PN would continue to pressure the Government to rebuild the much-needed breakwater for Marsalforn, and will insist that a yacht marina is not built on Marsalforn beach, but that it should remain a tourist area.
In addition, they said, ”a Council led by a Nationalist majority would improve the sports and recreational facilities throughout the locality.”
Among other proposals, the Nationalist Party said that as far as possible, accessibility and other aids for farmers will continue to increase with help from local and European funds.
