The public will have the opportunity to show their appreciation towards the work of the Police in Gozo, during an event in commemoration of Police Day.

This special day is commemorated on the 12th of July, and this year marks the 210th anniversary.

In Gozo, there will be a ceremony in Victoria on Tuesday, the 9th of July.

Prior to the evening events, there will be a Mass celebrated at the Santa Marija cemetery chapel, followed by the blessing of Police graves and laying of flowers.

The commemoration events then get underway at Independence Square, Victoria, starting at 7.30pm.

There will be a Police Band Concert, Silent Drill Team, Mounted Unit and a performance by the Police K9 Unit.

On Sunday, the 14th of July there will be an open day for the public and the Police General Headquarters, Floriana, between 9am and 4pm.
