On Thursday evening, President Myriam Spiteri Debono recognised the altruistic and noble gesture of blood donors, while expressing the wish of instilling a culture of donating blood on a regular basis, especially among youths.

The President stressed that regular blood donations reduce blood shortages and the need for urgent pleas when the need arises in order to save lives and contribute to people’s cures.To mark this special occasion President Myriam Spiteri Debono was presented with a souvenir made entirely by hand by the young people who attend the Day Centre at the Agenzija Sapport Ghajnsielem Learning Hub in Gozo, with the help of artist Charlie Camilleri.
