The voluntary organisation Malta Rescue Corps said that it will continue to strengthen both its presence and its capabilities with new specialised equipment that will assist its members in their duties, as well as updated equipment on the ambulance.

This was made possible through funds allocated by the NGO Scheme 2023, administered by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning.

Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri praised the proposals that this NGO successfully put forward enabling it to benefit from the funds.

“The Malta Rescue Corps is an organisation that is run in the most professional manner and provides various first aid assistance, especially in mass events. During the last months this organisation received funds both from the Fund for Just Causes and the scheme launched by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning,” said the Minister.

Etienne Micallef, President of the Malta Rescue Corps, thanked the Ministry for Gozo and Planning for the allocated funds which were used to purchase the necessary equipment.
