Health warning issued not to eat this raw milk goats’ cheese

The Environmental Health Directorate has warned that the following product must not be consumed in view that is potentially contaminated with Yersinia enterocolitica.

The warning was issued through information received from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed.

Yersinia enterocolitica is a bacterium transmitted through consumption of contaminated food and which causes food poisoning. Symptoms include fever, abdominal pain and diarrhoea which can be bloody. Symptoms appear between four to ten days following infection.
