Zminijietna is urging the Government for a sectoral collective bargaining for Y plates drivers and food couriers.

The Left think-tank organisation stated that, “various studies show that countries with robust collective bargaining, workers face less precarious conditions of employment. This agreement if introduced will be an important step towards a fairer delivery and service sector.”

“The Government’s decision to close the door for additional foreign workers’ in areas that are saturated is a good initiative. Economically, political decisions based on better planning and progressive ideas should be the way forward,” it said.

“This type of strategy offers more job security to the existing employees. It can also lead to an improvement in the working conditions,” added Zminijietna – Voice of the Left.
