A 78-year old man was grievously injured in a traffic accident on Sunday evening in Gozo.
Police said that the accident happened at around 10pm in Triq L-Imgarr, Ghajnsielem.
The accident involved a collision between a BMW X5 being driven by a 19-year old man from Ghajnsielem and a Mitsubishi Pajero, being driven by a 78-year old man from Gharb, which subsequently overturned as a result of the accident.
In the Mitsubishi there was also an 83-year-old woman also from Gharb.
A medical team gave first assistance at the scene, before the driver and passenger of the Mitsubishi were taken to Gozo General Hospital. The male driver was certified with grievous injuries and the woman was certified with slight injuries.
The Police are investigations are ongoing.
