The latest data today from the National Statistics Office show that total number of tourists visiting Gozo and Comino during June, including both same-day and overnight visitors, totalled 218,004, or 62.1% of total tourists (350,910).

The total number of tourists visiting Gozo and Comino in the first six months of the year, including both same-day and overnight visitors, totalled 852,089, or 53.6% of total tourists (1,590,867).

On a national level, total inbound tourists for June were estimated at 350,910 an increase of 19.2% when compared to the corresponding month in 2023. Total nights spent amounted to 2,301,614, and total expenditure almost reached €333.7 million.

British, Italian and French residents made up 46.4% of total inbound tourists.

The largest share of guest nights (85.7%) was spent in rented accommodation establishments.

The NSO noted that inbound tourists for the first half of 2024 amounted to 1,590,867, while total nights spent surpassed 9.4 million nights.

Total tourism expenditure for the period January-June 2024 was estimated at €1.3 billion, while expenditure per capita stood at €812.
