A 37-year old motorcyclist has been grievously injured after being involved in a collision on Saturday morning in Victoria, Gozo.

Police said that the accident happened at around 7.20am in Fortunato Mizzi Street.

The collision was between an Isuzu D Max driven by a 27-year old man from Zebbug, Gozo, and a Kentoya motorcycle, being driven by a 37-year old man from Victoria.

A medical team assisted at the scene and the motorcyclist was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified to have sustained grievous injuries. There was no information as to the condition of the driver of the vehicle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
