Nine localities in Gozo will be among thirty across both islands to benefit from funds as part of the Cultural Activities Scheme for the organisation of Christmas activities during December.

Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Alison Zerafa Civelli, explained that around €400,000 will be divided and allocated to the Local Councils.

She said that the activities vary from Christmas villages, Christmas lights, concerts, activities for children and the elderly, activities related to traditional food, as well as the popular Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, among others.

The Parliamentary Secretary wished every success to the Local Councils staging the activities, and encouraged the public to attend and enjoy the festivities.

For Gozo, activities will be held in – Ghajnsielem, Gharb, Kercem/Santa Lucija, Nadur, Qala, San Lawrenz, Sannat, Xewkija, and Zebbug.
