PN Leader Bernard Grech during a political activity on Sunday stated that, “this is a Government of fraud only, and fraud often,” citing the Parliamentary Standards Committee finding Ministers Clayton Bartolo and Clint Camilleri guilty of the “sham employment of Minister Bartolo’s partner.”

Regarding the two Ministers, the PN Leader stated that Clayton Bartolo and Clint Camilleri “should be dismissed, and it should be the Prime Minister who fires them after the Parliamentary Committee itself found them guilty of conspiring to employ one Minister’s partner as a consultant in a field in which she is neither qualified nor competent.”

He warned Abela “not to appease his conscience by asking the Minister’s partner to return €20,000. The two Ministers should return the full €70,000 and be dismissed because their actions are unworthy of ministers. Their behaviour, abuse, and self-defence show they are untrustworthy.”

The PN Leader stated that it “cannot be the case that fraud has become the order of the day. Wherever you look, you see nothing but abuses and fraud, one story after another:”

“The country needs a mindset change so things are done differently, properly, on time, and for the greatest benefit of our people and our nation,” Bernard Grech insisted, adding that “only the PN can deliver this change that the people demand.”

The PN Leader concluded by saying that the Prime Minister “must lead by example and stop all this fraud. It is useless trying to pacify the public with superficial apologies. Responsibility lies with Robert Abela – the buck stops with him. No more, no less.”
