Wirt Ghawdex will, for the 2nd year, be celebrating the feast of St. Cecilia, the Patron Saint of Music, at the Santa Cecilia Chapel, Ghajnsielem, this coming Friday, the 22nd of November.

Wirt Ghawdex have planned an hour-long musical literary programme, which includes a variety of instrumental and vocal recitals mainly by upcoming artists, interspersed with short poems related to St. Cecilia or to music. The Artistic Director is Soprano Rosabelle Pavia.

Where the material is in Maltese, a brief overview of the content will be given in English during the event so that everyone will be able to enjoy and appreciate the pieces.

The event starts at 7pm and as seating at the chapel is limited, Wirt Ghawdex recommend that those interested in joining them reserve seats via email to membership@wirtghawdex.org

Also, to celebrate this feast day, the Ghaqda Muzikali San Guzepp (Ghajnsielem Band Club) is organising a Mass at the chapel on Thursday, the 21st of November at 7pm, the eve of the feast, everybody is welcome.
