39,000 guests stayed in Gozo accommodation during third quarter

Today’s data from the National Statistics Office revealed that during the third quarter of this year, total guests in Gozo collective accommodation increased by 3.3% to 39,006 on the same period last year, while nights increased by 3.5% to 132,317.
In Gozo, the NSO noted that the average length of stay was 3.4 nights.
The net occupancy rate in Gozo decreased by 0.8 percentage points to 64.9% during the same period.
Total guests in Gozo collective accommodation for the first three quarters of the year amounted to 86,945, this was up on the same period last year when the figure stood at 82,155.
On a national basis, total guests in collective accommodation establishments during the third quarter amounted to 724,402, up by 9.9% reported in the corresponding period of 2023.
Total nights spent during the period under review reached 3,645,988, an increase of 11.9% over last year.
During July-September, the largest share of guest nights (47.9%) was reported in 4-star hotels.
Net use of bed-places in the third quarter of this year increased by 2.4 percentage points, when compared to the same quarter of 2023, to 80.6%.
