During a protest meeting in Freedom Square Valletta on Monday evening, Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech reiterated his call for Gozo and Planning Minister Clint Camilleri to resign.

“Two weeks ago, we gathered here as one people to protest and to exert pressure on Clint Camilleri and Clayton Bartolo. Robert Abela had said that a simple ‘sorry’ was enough. The people have spoken, and Clayton Bartolo has resigned. Now Clint Camilleri must also step down, as he is equally guilty of defrauding the Maltese and Gozitan people,” Grech said.To have a better country, Bernard Grech insisted, “we need a clean Government, and for that to happen, Clint Camilleri must go.”

Bernard Grech lamented that it is unfortunate that protests are still necessary in this country. He highlighted “the €70,000 fraud scandal” involving Ministers Clint Camilleri and Clayton Bartolo as “just one example of the many frauds that this Government has committed or allowed, using taxpayers’ money.”

The Nationalist Party Leader told supporters that “we must work together to replace a Government of frequent fraud with a Nationalist Government of frequent prosperity.”
