The facade of Ghajnsielem Primary School in Triq J. F. De Chambray will be given a modern and aesthetic look thanks to a wall cladding project being carried out with funding from the Ministry for Gozo and Planning.
This project is part of a wider urban greening initiative that was announced to transform the front area of Ghajnsielem Primary School into an open garden that can be enjoyed not only by parents and school children, but also by the residents of Ghajnsielem.
The project is being carried out in collaboration with the Ghajnsielem Local Council, which is leading this work, and with support from Ambjent Malta. The Ministry for Gozo and Planning is taking care of the materials and work related to the wall cladding project.
The Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, explained the importance of this project, saying that the beautification of the facade of the school will give a new look to the institution which is an important centre for the community.
He added that this work will not only improve the external appearance of the school but will also increase the environmental value of the surrounding area.
It was explained that this project is designed to reflect both the need to aesthetically update public buildings as well as the importance of preserving and improving public areas.
