Registered full-time employment in July totalled 288,325, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Office. This was an increase of 5.3% over July last year.

Part-time as a primary job amounted to 38,085, an increase of 5.9% when compared to the same period in 2023, the NSO said.

Private sector full-time employment went up by 6.1% over a period of one year reaching 235,933.

The NSO also noted that public sector full-time employment increased by 1.9% since July 2023 totalling 52,392.

As compared to July last year, full-time employment for males went up by 5.1% amounting to 174,258, while that for females increased by 5.5% reaching 114,067.
