According to latest data from the National Statistics Office, registered full-time employment totalled 288,030 in August 2024, an increase of 4.6% over August 2023.

The NSO noted that part-time as a primary job amounted to 37,785, an increase of 5.5% when compared to the same period in 2023.

Private sector full-time employment went up by 5.2% over a period of one year reaching 235,485.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 2.3% since August 2023 totalling 52,545.

The NSO said that as compared to August 2023, full-time employment for males went up by 4.3% amounting to 174,167, while that for females increased by 5.1% reaching 113,863.
