Threads of Love fashion show, organised by Il-Hjata Bespoke, was hailed as a great success on the opening weekend of – Valentine’s in Gozo programme of events.

An ordinary night was turned into an extraordinary celebration of fashion and creativity. With a full house in attendance to watch the runway show.

As the organiser, Vickyann Xuereb, founder of Il-Hjata Bespoke, said that she is “deeply honoured and humbled by the overwhelming support from the audience. While a group of teenage dancers, choreographed by Deborah Agius gave life to this event, the primary goal of Threads of Love was to provide a platform for young Gozitan individuals who are studying or have studied fashion design.”

She added that, “fashion has always been a dream of mine, but unfortunately, there were no means in pursuing it during my youth in the 1980s. This event was not only a showcase but a personal mission to enable the next generation to realise their aspirations.”

Witnessing the enthusiasm and determination of these young talents, Sakana, Andre, Mattia, Ivana and SaraCristina, brought immense joy, said Vickyann. “The journey to bring their unique ideas to life wasn’t an easy one, but each designer showcased remarkable creativity and skill. The garments that graced the runway told their own stories, embodying the passion and hard work of each designer.”Threads of Love fashion show hailed as a great successJoining this cohort of designers was Daniel Formosa, a new face in the world of jewellery. Daniel exhibited stunning pieces alongside the Il-Hjata Bespoke Collection 2025. “His work is unique and beautifully represents our cultural heritage,” said Vickyann.

Meanwhile, Il-Hjata Bespoke presented her 2025 Collection, which Vickyann said was a “resounding success, showcasing an exquisite blend of modern innovation, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. The event unfolded as a celebration of fashion that left a lasting impression on all attendees.”

The 2025 collection encapsulated the essence of contemporary design while respecting traditional techniques and local heritage. “Each piece was meticulously crafted, with attention to detail evident in every stitch, fabric choice, and design element,” said Vickyann.

The event was a night not only to showcase fashion but to celebrate creativity, sustainability, and the rich cultural heritage of Gozo.

VickyAnn Xuereb extended her heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in the creation and execution of this remarkable event – from the talented designers and dedicated team to the enthusiastic audience. She commented, “Your support and passion for fashion make events like these possible, igniting inspiration and paving the way for a vibrant future in our industry. Together, let us continue to push the boundaries of fashion, embrace ethical practices, and uplift our community through creativity and artistry.”
