Over 115,000 guests stayed in Gozo accommodation last year

Data from the National Statistics Office released today revealed that in 2024, total guests in Gozo collective accommodation amounted to 115,570, this was up on the previous year when the figure stood at 106,889.
The NSO noted that during the fourth quarter of last year total guests in Gozo collective accommodation increased by 15.8% to 28,631 on the same period in 2023, while nights increased by 9.8% to 76,493.
In Gozo, the NSO noted that the average length of stay decreased slightly to 2.7 nights.
The net occupancy rate in Gozo increased by 2.6 percentage points to 38.5% during the same period.
On a national basis, total guests in collective accommodation establishments during the fourth quarter amounted to 626,884, up by 14.5% reported in the corresponding period of 2023.
Total nights spent during the period under review reached 2,667,363, an increase of 16.5% over 2023.

During July-September, the largest share of guest nights (47.9%) was reported in 4-star hotels.
Net use of bed-places in the third quarter of this year increased by 2.4 percentage points, when compared to the same quarter of 2023, to 80.6%.
