Many congratulations to the Nature Trust – FEE Malta Gozo Section Coordinator, Marvic Refalo, for receiving the prestigious MARA Environmental Activism Award.
This well-deserved recognition was presented to Marvic by Dr. Rachael Scicluna at the Grandmaster’s Palace in Valletta on the eve of Women’s Day, in the presence of Dr. Lydia Abela.
It was explained that Marvic has been a passionate advocate for sustainability since 2002, inspiring countless students and communities through the Eco-Schools programme. Her unwavering dedication to environmental education has left a lasting impact, encouraging a greener and more sustainable lifestyle.
Beyond schools, Marvic is also a dedicated volunteer with Nature Trust – FEE Malta, playing a key role in establishing the Nature Trust – FEE Malta Gozo Section and its Wildlife Rescue Team for Gozo, ensuring that injured wildlife receive the care they need.

This is such a well deserved award, recognising a life lived with love and respect for our planet at its core. If we could all be a bit more like Marvic the world would be a better place. Many congratulations Marvic – please enjoy your celebrity.
Marvic is an inspirational leader for the Nature Trust Wildlife Rescue Team in Gozo. She is there for wildlife and supports her team in equal measure.
