A call for tenders for the Ulysses Grove Project in Xewkija, Gozo, has been issued for the creation of 27 acres of open space for families and community in an urban area and transformed into a “modern and sustainable park.”

In a statement, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri explained that through funds from the Ministry for Gozo and Planning as well as the National Development and Social Fund (NDSF) this project spread over 27 acres “will create a safe and accessible space for everyone in an urban area.”

He went on to say that this initiative is “a testament to the government’s commitment to focus on the environment and recreation in Gozo.”

The Chief Executive of the NDSF Raymond Andrew Ellul said that the funds that will be provided by the NDSF for this project “will achieve several social goals including a better environment, a recreational space for families and it is a lasting project that will be enjoyed not only by this generation but by future ones.”
