The Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz in Gozo has completed renovation and improvement work with an investment of €10 million over a two-year period, creating 120 new jobs, the government said on Saturday.
Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by the Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, visited the hotel, and described it as “symbolising the trust that hotel owners in our country have in the Maltese economy.”
It was explained that this project was carried out with full respect for quality and sustainability and that it led to the creation of 120 jobs, with 80 of them direct jobs with the Baldacchino Group, the owners of the hotel.
The Prime Minister said that “these investments not only improve the experience of tourists who visit us, but also create new jobs and contribute to economic growth.”
The next phase of the investment in the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz will focus on the renovation of other rooms, restaurants, and the spa together with initiatives related to clean energy, the Government said.
