Din l-Art Helwa explained that th power used to provide the camera feed is generated by the tower’s own solar panels, and the off-grid system does not produce any light pollution within this designated Dark Sky Heritage Area, Marine Protected Area and Natura2000 site.

For those planning to visit Dwejra, the roof space of the fully restored knights-era coastal watchtower, which dates back to 1652, provides the perfect “selfie spot,” said DLH.
