The DOI have issued a statement saying that earlier this morning, during the funeral Mass of the late Angelo Fenech, President George Abela, was taken slightly ill when he was momentarily overcome by emotion.
President Abela was taken to Mater Dei hospital, where he is now said to have now fully recovered, and is currently resting.
