Today’s data released by the National Statistics Office today show that registered full-time employment on the Maltese Islands totalled 291,485 in November 2024, an increase of 3.5% over November 2023.

Part-time as a primary job amounted to 35,333, an increase of 6.1% when compared to the same period in 2023.

The NSO also noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 3.5% over a period of one year reaching 238,049.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 3.2% since November 2023 totalling 53,436.

As compared to November 2023, the NSO said that full-time employment for males went up by 3.0% amounting to 176,074, while that for females increased by 4.2% reaching 115,411.
