President George Abela’s doctors have diagnosed that his condition was caused by a drop in blood pressure associated with dehydration, or lack of water in his circulatory system.

The President has responded well to the administration of intravenous fluids.

His doctors said this morning that he still needs to rest and continue the necessary treatment at Mater Die Hospital.

The Prime Minister’s office will issue another medical update tomorrow.
