3.5 magnitude earthquake recorded which struck 7km east of Comino

The Seismic Monitoring and Research Group (SMRG) at the University of Malta has recorded a magnitude 3.5 earthquake which struck offshore, about 7km east of Comino, on Thursday, at 11:57pm local time.
Several reports were received from across the northern part of the islands, the group said.
This latest report follows an earthquake of magnitude about 4.9 on Wednesday, which occurred in the Ionian Sea at 3:26 local time, with a depth of about 40 kilometres.
The SMRG said that Wednesday’s earthquake was located approximately 70 kilometres southeast of Reggio Calabria, Italy.
