Gozo’s housing market still sluggish, promise of sale agreements improving

Gozo’s housing market activity remains sluggish with another drop seen in April, as the island once again registered the second lowest figures for final deeds of sale at 140, which was up on last month and down on last year.
The National Statistics Office data released today revealed that promise of sale agreements totalled 169, this was also the second lowest out of all the districts, however it was up on March, and also on April last year.
The NSO noted that 140 final deeds of sale on residential property were registered in Gozo during April, this was up by 21 on March, and down by 8 on April 2024.
In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, there were 67 final deeds of sale, this was up by 11 on March, and down by 16 on April 2024.
While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija there were 73, this was up by 10 on March and up by 8 on April 2024.
Promise of sale agreements in the Gozo and Comino District registered 169, up by 46 agreements on March, and by 32 on April last year.
In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, the promise of sale agreements totalled 95, up by 30 from March, and by 11 on the same month in 2024.
While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija, the figure was 74, up by 16 on March, and by 26 on April last year.
