A dedicated Roads Policing Unit has been launched by the Malta Police, which it said, is focused on the investigation of traffic collisions involving injuries across Malta.
The Police explained that this centralised unit “will enhance the way serious road incidents are handled, ensuring cases are examined with precision, professionalism and the latest technology.”
“This is another centralised service launched as part of the ongoing modernisation and transformation of the Force. The Roads Policing Unit will investigate serious road traffic incidents using modern tools and technology, allowing officers to digitally scan and document crash scenes for detailed analysis at the office,” said Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa during the official launch.
All officers forming part of this new unit have received accredited training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to perform this specialised role with the highest standards, the Police said.
