194,000 tourists visited Gozo in April, however 179,000 of them were same-day visitors194,126 tourists visited Gozo during April, including both same-day (179,083) and overnight (15,043) or 55.3% of total tourists for the Maltese Islands (351,165). The figure was also an increase of 21.7% on the same period last year, the National Statistics Office said today.

The number of tourists visiting Gozo from January to April, including both same-day and overnight visitors increased by 21.9% on last year and totalled 526,752 or 50.4% of total tourists (1,044,657), the NSO said.

On a national basis, total inbound tourists for April were estimated at 351,165 an increase of 14.6% when compared to the corresponding month in 2024.

Total nights spent reached over 2 million and amounted to 2,008,677, with the average length of stay of 5.7 nights.

British, Italian and Polish residents made up 46.4% of total inbound tourists, the NSO said.

The largest share of guest nights (87.6%) was spent in rented accommodation establishments.

The NSO noted that total tourism expenditure for April was estimated at €296.2 million, up 23.6% over last year, resulting in an estimated expenditure of €147.50 per night.
