Over 4,000 people vaccinated against A (H1N1) virus

This morning the process got under way of vaccinating pregnant women and people with cronic illnesses against influenza A (H1N1). Between 8.00am and 1.00pm today 2,939 people had been given the vaccination who came into this category.
This process will continue running until Sunday, the 10th of January 2010. Health centers will be open daily between 8.00am and 1.00pm and then again between 3.00pm and 7.00pm in the evening.
Overall, from Tuesday 4,152 people have been given the vaccination, of whom 1,213 are workers in the health sector. .
The Health Department said that it is important for anyone going to the Health Centres for vaccination to take their indentity card, their yellow card or a certificate from a doctor..
