The Gozo Food Festival returns to Xewkija this month in a 7th Special Edition of the Malta International Food Festival, combining gastronomy with culture and entertainment.
Launched by Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, he explained that visitors will have the opportunity to taste different flavours including Asian, quality Mediterranean delights, best of Europe, South America and genuine Gozitan delicacies.
This year the organisers said that they are focusing more on versatility, with over 100 different dishes from around the world being served by many participants.
There will be brewery stands and special wines available for a tasting experience, all accompanied by a special set of live musicians on both evenings.
Not forgetting dessert lovers, there will be an overwhelming choice of Gozitan sweets and home-made ice creams, to name just a few.
There will also be a special area dedicated for children, complete with appropriate food, games and attractions.
Entrance to the food festival is free of charge – the organisers said that patrons need to purchase tokens and redeem for any of the prepared dishes that they would like to try.
The Festival is taking place on Friday and Saturday, the 11th and 12th of July, from 6pm both evenings in the main square.
The Gozo Special Edition is organised with the support of the Ministry for Gozo and Planning, EcoGozo and the Xewkija Local Council.
