€480,867 has been raised by Hospice Malta in support of palliative care services during the 2025 fundraising telethon, Hajja sal-Ahhar – celebrating an overwhelming wave of community support by the families of Malta and Gozo, together with individuals and organisations.

Broadcast live from St Michael Hospice on Sunday, the 12-hour event focused on sustaining and expanding Hospice Malta’s free palliative care services in the community, while also moving closer to the launch of the new In-Patient Unit at St Michael Hospice in Santa Venera.

Chairperson Bernadette Bonnici Kind expressed sincere thanks on behalf of the organisation, “we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this year’s telethon. Ongoing support is crucial for us to keep providing comprehensive palliative care to all patients and families in need. We invite individuals and the business community to continue supporting us through donations on the Hospice Malta website.”

While the telethon has come to an end, Hospice Malta said that its work continues every day. As more patients reach out for help, the need for sustainable funding remains essential.
