The Health Division has announced that it is extending the period for vaccination against Influenza (A) H1N1 for those persons who could not avail themselves of the vaccine this week as follows:

Monday, the 11th of January to Saturday, the 16th of January 2010.

3 pm – 7 pm from all Health Centres. Gozo General Hospital

8am – 1pm from Gozo General Hospital

The same criteria for eligibility for vaccination apply, that is:

Health Care Workers Pregnant women Persons over 6 months of age suffering from chronic heart disease, chronic lung disease, chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic neurological or neuromuscular conditions, iImmunodeficiency states including HIV and AIDS Diabetes.

People are asked to take with them their ID card, Schedule V (Yellow card) or a medical certificate indicating the chronic condition. The vaccination record should be presented in the case of children.
