As animal lovers living on Gozo may we express our admiration and gratitude for the wonderful work done by Animal Welfare Gozo and the Gozo SPCA.
They turn out without hesitation when called to a sick or injured animal and the help they give is exemplary. The cleanliness at their centres is to be admired and the Veterinary service cannot be faulted.
We feed a colony of stray cats in San Lawrenz and cannot thank them enough for the assistance they give us. We are also well aware that even the sickest animal will be given first class treatment and no animal is ever put down unless it is absolutely unavoidable, they will try everything possible first.
And this is because they care.
We know that as hard as they all work, often at odd hours, they could always do with some help, so if anyone who loves animals has a little time to spare it will always be welcome.

Many thanks, Jo and David. I don’t know you personally but we are grateful for your post. We have been doing our best for animals in need for the past fifty years, long before Animal Welfare came into being, and it is nice to get some appreciation of our work as volunteers.
