Zminijietna has condemned the process by which the proposed planning reform is being carried out.
The Left think-tank organisation Zminijietna stated that, “this reform is being carried out without first conducting a proper public consultation.”
It insisted that, “for such a reform to be passed in Parliament is not the way a democratic process works. Civil society should have been involved in the debating and drafting of this law.”
Zminijietna concluded by saying, “this way of doing things goes against European laws, including the Aarhus convention which states that every individual has the right to information, to be involved in the drafting of environmental policies, and to justice in matters dealing with the environment.”
