Chevalier Carmel Saliba has been appointed as the new Grand Prior of the Grand Chapter of Malta, based in Nadur, Gozo, effective from the 3rd of September.

The appointment was made by the Grand Master, Chevalier Peter Paul Portelli. Saliba will be assisted by Dame Veronica Camilleri Cauchi in Gozo and Chevalier Vincent Marshall in Malta as Personal Secretaries.

Chevalier Michael Camilleri Cauchi – Prior, Dame Lina Mifsud – Secretary, Chancellor and Chevalier Peter Ray Said – Treasurer.

Chevalier Carmel Saliba was appointed as a Knight in the Confraternity on the 3rd of August 2011, at a ceremony held at the Nadur Town Hall.

Chevalier Carmel Saliba has served as Secretary / PR since his appointment as a Knight. Just recently he was appointed as chancellor of the Grand Chapter of Malta.

The Supreme Council based in Melbourne Australia thanked Chevalier Joseph Meilak who stepped down from Grand Prior of the Chapter of Malta for his services to the Confraternity and those who are less fortunate, the sick and the poor.
