There will be a blood donation session in Gozo will be on Tuesday. Sharing is caring. So please share some of your precious blood to show someone that you care. All groups are needed and every drop donated counts, the National Blood Transfusion Service said.

The Service encouraged Gozitans to please keep attending donation sessions to help the patients in need get the necessary blood in a timely manner and to ensure a stable blood supply.

The NBTS advised that is has updated the donor eligibility guidelines removing restrictions on a number of medications. For more information on donor eligibility please call on 22066201 or 79307307 or on free phone 80074313.

The next session in Gozo will be on Tuesday, the 30th of September, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Community Clinic.

“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.

The centre is located at the Xewkija Community Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service

• Bring your Maltese ID Card, driving licence or passport.

• Drink water before your donation and have a light snack, not a heavy meal.

• Wear loose fitting clothes/sleeves.
