The first Gozo Tourism Association Council meeting after the Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday, the 9th of February 2010. During this meeting elections among the council members were held to fill the posts of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of the Association.

The council members present voted as Chairman, Mr Paul Scicluna, Mr Scicluna who is one of the representatives of the strong self catering section within the GTA has been sitting on the council since 1999 and was reconfirmed Chairman for the forth consecutive year. The post of Vice chairman was filled by Mr Mario Loporto, while Mr Joe Muscat was reconfirmed as Secretary of the Association for the twelfth consecutive year. A newcomer to the executive council is Mr Mark Busuttil who was voted to the post of treasurer.

The Gozo Tourism Association Chairman, Mr Paul Scicluna thanked the council members for their support and urged all council members to work incessantly towards the enhancement of the tourism industry in Gozo. He emphasised the fact that working together as one team will be a winning formula for the mutual benefit of the tourism establishments themselves and the tourism industry on Gozo.

Apart from these four officers the Gozo Tourism Association council is made up also of the following members: Ms Monica Borg, Mr Anthony Cassar, Mr Mark Cassar, Mr Ludgard Gatt, Mr Joe Rapa, Mr Philip Spiteri, Mr Amand Veranneman and Mr Amabile Zammit.
