The Malta Standards Authority advises that the tricycle shown in the photograph, manufactured by Guangdong Overseas Chinese Ent. Co. Ltd, are being recalled from the market due to a risk they pose to consumers.

The hazard consists in the fact that these tricycles have a foam protective cover over the fence which prevents small children from falling off the tricycle.

This foam may be bitten by the children using the tricycle, who may choke on the small parts.

The Malta Standards Authority advises consumers to take the tricycles back to the point of purchase for a modification to be made to the foam.

Importers and retailers of this make of product shall make the necessary changes before the products are returned to consumers. Only this specific model of tricycle has been affected and consumers should ascertain whether models they own, present this hazard.
