Adding to the festive Christmas spirit and celebrations in Gozo, ‘Strings for Christmas’ (3rd Edition) presents an eclectic concert under the musical direction of Pierre Louis Attard.

The string orchestra will perform a programme featuring seasonal classics such as ‘Sinfonia Pastorale’ by Emmanuele Galea and ‘A Suite of Carols’ by Leroy Anderson, alongside other festive pieces from various countries. The repertoire also includes standard works for strings, such as Haydn’s String Quartet in B-flat major, Hob.III:1 “La Chasse.”

‘Strings for Christmas’ aims to enhance the festive atmosphere on Boxing Day while showcasing the richness and versatility of string instruments.

The concert, taking place on Friday, the 26th of December at St. Francis’ Church in Victoria, Gozo, is organised by the Victoria Local Council and supported by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning.

Entrance is free; however, donations will be collected in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
