November’s unemployments rate remains stable at 3.1%

According to latest data from the National Statistics Office, in November, the seasonally adjusted monthly unemployment rate remained at 3.1%.This was an increase of 0.2 percentage points the previous month and and increase of 0.1 percentage points on last year.
The number of unemployed persons was 10,664, an increase of 5.4% on the previous month and an increase of 7.3% on the same month in 2024.
The NSO noted that the 25 to 74 age group was once again the major contributor to the overall level of unemployment at 7,297 – 68.4%. The figure for unemployed youths amounted to 3,367 – 31.6%.
The unemployment rate for males stood at 3.1%, increasing by 0.1 percentage points on the previous month while the rate for females stood at 3.0%, increasing by 0.2 percentage points on the previous month.
The unemployment rate for persons aged 15 to 24 years (youth unemployment rate) went up to 11.3%, while the rate for those aged between 25 and 74 years stood at 2.3%, increasing by 0.1 percentage points when compared to the previous month of October
