Justice Ministry issues call for appointment of two judges

The Justice Ministry has issued a call for the appointment of two judges.
In a statement, that Ministry said that applicants who meet the criteria set out in the Constitution of Malta and who express their interest will be evaluated by the Judicial Appointments Committee, established in terms of Article 96A of the Constitution.
Following this evaluation process, the names of three candidates for each position will be submitted for consideration and selection by the President.
Justice Minister Jonathan Attard stressed the continuous and constant commitment to strengthening the judiciary which is complementing the various reforms that the justice sector is undergoing in our country. “This strengthening of human resources and specialisation are the way in which we are continuing to raise standards with the aim of increasing efficiency in this area.”
Interested parties should send their application with all documents by no later than Friday, the 20th of February, by 12pm to the Secretary of the Judicial Appointments Committee.
