A Red Weather Warning is in effect across the Maltese Islands over the coming hours, till tomorrow at 6am, the Civil Protection Department said..
The Civl Protection Department warned the public to “please exercise extreme caution.”
The CPD is urging the public to:
Avoid working at heights, including rooftops, balconies, scaffolding, and exposed structures.
Stay away from the shoreline, breakwaters, and coastal areas due to dangerous sea conditions and strong waves.
Secure loose outdoor objects that may be blown away by strong gusts.
Drive carefully, particularly in open and exposed areas where sudden crosswinds may occur.
The public is urged to follow official updates and instructions as the situation develops
The Civil Protection Department said that it remains on standby and continues to monitor the situation closely in coordination with other emergency services.
