Last month, the Gozo Regional Development Authority welcomed to Gozo project partners and Twinning Learning Programme participants from Vilnius in Lithuania, Klagenfurt in Austria and Elefsina in Greece.

The 4 Cities project focuses on the exploration and exploitation of potential future climate actions in Klagenfurt, Vilnius and Gozo. The three cities have different climate-related challenges due to their geographical position, different population numbers, and development.

The GRDA said a series of workshops were held to reflect on the progress achieved over the past two years, review the remaining deliverables, and share insights on replication plans.

Beyond the sessions, the delegation explored some of Gozo’s key sites, including the New Water Treatment Plant, Thrive Permaculture Garden, the Multi Modal Hub, as well as the Citadel and Ggantija Temples.

The GRDA said that it ”looks forward to successfully concluding this project in the coming months and continuing to drive sustainable initiatives for Gozo.”
